009 FIA Asia-Pacific Rally Championship(APRC) final round, round 7 "China Rally Longyou" was held from 13-15 November around Longyou, Zhejiang province. As already secured this season's APRC title, Australian Cody Crocker won the event overall, while Motor Image Rally Team(MIRT)'s team-mate Emma Gilmour who finished 4th among APRC gained enough points to move into second in the drivers championship at her first season of APRC attending. While on overall classification, Australian Dean Herridge from Subaru Rally Team China, followed by Team FCACA's Finnish Jari Ketomaa finished 2nd and 3rd in Longyou rally which gave Subaru dominating the podium of the event.
This completed a remarkable double for the MIRT. "Emma has been a fantastic team-mate and she really doesn't yet realise what an achievement this is. These events are tough to finish let alone win, but Emma has been on the podium in every single rally we've entered this year", said Crocker at the finish.
Gilmour's finish was all the more remarkable as on the 2nd stage of Day 2 her wrist was broken after the steering wheel snapped back. "We hit a big rut, spun and the steering wheel caught my hand. Thankfully it was my right-hand, not the left otherwise I wouldn't have been able to change gear. The team doctor strapped it up and now that its all over I'm starting to feel the pain"
Crocker also won Asia Cup second time in a row, while Subaru are the manufacturer's champion of APRC.
