The unique one-day Osram Rally, round six of the Sasol South African Rally Championship, was held from 21-22 August. The event started in Lady Grey and consisted of seven frighteningly fast stages in the Witteberg and southern Drakensberg mountains.
After clinching the championship title in the previous round, Charl Wilken continued his domination of the production class of the series with his sixth successive victory, driving Prodrive built 2009 versioned Subaru Impreza.
He had a loose wheel in the final kilometers of the first stage and dropped to 7th overall but fought ferociously to make up lost positions and finishing first in class and fourth overall, ahead of many S2000 cars.

The next round of SARC, round seven "Cape Swartland Rally" will be held from 18-19 September around Western Cape.
