Andreas Mikkelsen and his co-driver Ola Floene won fourth round of Norwegian Rally Championship,"Rally Sorland" which was held from 1-2 May. With his in their Subaru Impreza STI 08 Cup car, they took a surprise win on the fast gravel roads in Southern Norway.
This was an incredible performance, beating the opposition in optimal Gr. N machine, and WRC cars. It confirmed that Andreas Mikkelsen, only 20 years old, is the biggest driver talent from Norway ever.
"This, I had never imagined in advance. It should really not be possible to win the overall here with a Subaru Cup car. But now we have proved the opposite and it is just fantastic," said Andreas Mikkelsen after the stages.
He is now leading the Norwegian Rally Championship in Group N category and of course the Subaru Cup. Also the second best car in the Subaru Cup, driven by Kenneth Johnsrod, finished in 5th overall and 3rd in Gr. N. |

The next Rally in the Norwegian Rally Championship, "Aurskog Holand Rally" is the 6th June.
